NIIK took part in IFS technical conference organized by International Fertilizer Society in Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. 29.06.2016

NIIK took part in IFS technical conference organized by International Fertilizer Society in Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest.

NIIK took part in this conference for the first time and was represented by the Head of International Affairs department Mrs Natalia Kargaeva. IFS is an oldest scientific society in Europe founded to promote effective communication and exchange of experience on scientific, technical, environmental, economic and safety aspects of fertilizer production and application. At the request of IFS committee Mrs Kargaeva reported on NIIK's Innovative High-Speed Drum Granulation Technology as a flexible, cost-effective and energy efficient technology for production of value-added fertilizers. The report considered technical and economic performances of granulation in HSDG unit in view of current market situation and complex fertilizers (particularly urea+sulphur fertilizer) outlook as well as the progress on HSDG implementation in Russia and abroad.
The conference program highlighted complex fertilizers production areas including the newest advances in granulation technologies. It also features new EC fertilizer regulations presented by European commission. Fortified fertilizers are of great interest for the fertilizer industry satisfying crop's nutritional demand based on soil and growth stage of a plant. Their demand becomes very high in terms of increasing competition on the fertilizer market and urea price decline. High Speed Drum Granulation technology used to produce slow-release and controlled-release fertilizers is seen as the most interesting and promising technology assisting the future of fertilizer industry.
Given the increased attention to the new NIIK's branch responsible for nitric acid and ammonium nitrate meetings on collaborative issues were held with European and Middle East companies.
