NIIK delegation attended FAI Annual Seminar 2013 organized by Indian Fertilizers Association (FAI)
The Seminar was held on December 11-13 2013 in New Delhi, India. From NIIK the Seminar visited Deputy General Director for R&D Nikolay Lobanov, Head of Process Department Rinat Anderzhanov and International Affairs Manager Alexey Andreev.

It is worth mentioning that considering questions of melamine projects NIIK´s opinion is very valuable and is called expert opinion - the institute has its own melamine production technology and a considerable experience in working with foreign licensors.

General Director of JSC NIIK Oleg Kostin presented a paper on Complex\Compound Fertilizer Conference held on Rossosh 13-14 November (organized by host company Infohim)
JSC NIIK offered its state-of-the art granulation technology in High Speed Drum Granulator (HSDG) used for production of a wide range of fertilizers with macro- and micronutrients.

JSC NIIK took part in the opening ceremony of the beginning of the construction of new ammonia plant at JSC «FosAgro Cherepovets»
JSC “FosAgro” and an international consortium of companies including Sojitz and Renaissance Heavy Industries led by the Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. entered into a contract for the construction of new energy efficient ammonia unit capacity of 760 thousand tons/year on the ground of “FosAgro Cherepovets” in the Vologda region.

President of JSC NIIK Mr Igor Esin, General Director Mr Oleg Kostin and Head of International Affairs Department Mrs Natalia Kargaeva took part in the 4th Annual GPCA Fertilizer Convention held on September 22-24 in Dubai, UAE
Among 34 countries and 96 companies participating in the event NIIK was the only Russian company. Conference attendees mostly represented various countries of the Arabian Gulf, Europe and Asia.

JSC NIIK is taking an active part in the project of cyclohexane production unit for JSC KuibyshevAzot . The start up is scheduled for 2014-1015
A contract for compressor station design was signed between two companies. Foundation design is being performed to start concrete operation during warm season.

Сonstruction of new ammonia- methanol- urea complex in Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan) is being continued
The most important steps – oversite excavation, clock houses construction and perimeter fencing installation were completed. Video surveillance / access control and lighting system are being provided.

JSC NIIK is engaged in a large ammonia / urea complex engineering project requested by LLC «Baltic urea plant»
This project can be compared with a large-scale construction project in Tatarstan (urea fertilizer plant capable to produce ammonia and methanol at Mendeleevsk). Modern chemical facility with capacity 3000 TPD of ammonia and 3535 TPD of urea will appear on the coast of the Gulf of Finland.

In April, 8-12, delegation of Research and Design Institute of Urea took part in 2013 IFA Global Safety Summit & Technical Symposium which was organized in Santiago, Chili. The delegation was represented by the President of JSC NIIK Mr Igor Esin
NIIK presented a report regarding the production of complex fertilizers in HSDG which attracted huge rate of interest of nitrogen fertilizer industry representatives and potash and phosphate industry manufacturers, facing now the problem of utilization of by- products, such as sulphur and phosphogypsum.

R&D Institute of Urea (NIIK) delegates Rinat Anderzhanov, Deputy technical director for innovations, and Danil Safonov, International Affairs Manager, attended 19th AFA International Fertilizer Forum held February 26-28, 2013 in Sharm-El-Shekh, Egypt. The Forum was dedicated to fertilizer industry development in the world.

Сonstruction of new ammonia- methanol- urea complex in Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan) is being continued
During the first phase the following works were carried out: land leveling, connecting passages and perimeter fencing installation. Video surveillance and access control system were assembled and lighting system was provided. Water and sewage pipelines as well as off sites water supply utilities are being constructed.

JSC NIIK has signed a contract with Aveva company for the supply of engineering and design software. The contract signing will be followed by training course with Aveva specialists which is only the beginning of our long term relations
Three D engineering provides a broad range of benefits for engineering works: 3D concept is expected to improve visibility of images and provides optimum performance enabling the user to make exact and correct generation of drawings. Specialists of JSC NIIK are successfully implementing Aveva tools in their work.
