President& CEO Mr Igor Esin met Bahrein Minister of Oil H.E. Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa
September 25-28 NIIK delegation presented by President&CEO Igor Esin, general director Mr Kostin and Head of International Affairs department Natalia Kargaeva took part in the 8th Annual GPCA Fertilizer Convention. For the first time the conference took place in Bahrein.
During the first day the oil minister, H.E. Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa met the heads of the largest fertilizer producers in the Middle East and South Africa and the leader technological and analytics companies of the world market. Mr Esin was invited to the meeting.
During the meeting the oil minister of Bahrein emphasized the importance of implementing the advanced technologies and launching new premium products adopting and supporting the message of balanced fertilization and sustainable regional agricultural development.
The conference included presentations on nitrogen market development and global industry analyses, perspectives and region wise market overviews. Our report was related to innovation outcomes and tendencies of the nitrogen industry in Russia, potential development scenarios and potential prospects.
There is an obvious tendency to reduce the number of mega-construction projects which was very popular over the past 5-7 years and switch to smart optimization of the existing fertilizer production facilities improving their performance with energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. As before the attention is concentrated on application of balanced fertilization as the key of enhancing nutrient use efficiency for maintaining soil productivity.
During the conference NIIK had numerous meetings with Middle East leading producers. They expressed their interest to NIIK’s technologies and noted that our developments meet the contemporary market and customers’ needs.
