NIIK's delegation (President&CEO Mr Igor Esin, General Director Mr Oleg Kostin and a Head of International Aaffairs Department Mrs Natalia Kargaeva) attended the fifth annual conference Asian Nitrogen&Syngas held on November 21-23 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
It is no exaggeration to say that this visit elevated the cooperation between our company and Indonesian partners to a qualitatively new level, thus becoming a new point of building Russia- Indonesia partnership. Extensive face-to-face discussions were held with representatives of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) company, largest government owned fertilizer holding company having five fertilizer companies across Indonesia as its subsidiary. The meetings were conducted jointly with a Head of Export &Investment department of Trade representation of Russian Federation in Republic of Indonesia Mr Chesnokov.
Letter of Intention outlining the agreements between the parties and serving to notify the program of further actions was developed as a result of discussion. It was decided to organize NIIK's representation in Indonesia, arrange a seminar focusing on promoting NIIK's technologies at Indonesian market and visit nitrogen production facilities.
Based on the results of the meetings the management of NIIK is planning the meetings with representatives of Russian Export Center, Vnesheconombank and Russian Export Insurance Agency (EXIAR) providing a specialized investment support and assistance for export projects including the projects in Indonesia.
Traditionally NIIK presented a report on the most advanced prilling and granulation technologies which application is actual in current fertilizer production market conditions. Among the key topics tackled during the meetings was High Speed Drum Granulation unit for production of complex fertilizers. Due to its flexibility it becomes more and more popular: several requests from Indonesian companies were received for the pilot HSDGs to produce complex and slow released fertilizers.
During the conference NIIK' s team has also discussed ongoing and future cooperation with Russian and European companies licensors and equipment manufacturers.
