April, 11 NIIK and CHINA NATIONAL CHEMICAL ENGINEERING CO Ltd (CNCEC) signed a contract for the execution of the engineering works for ammonia-urea complex for Shchekinoazot

The Chinese company turned toward NIIK's experience for adaptation of project solutions to Russian norms and regulations and development of a relevant engineering package in compliance with environmental and state expertise requirements. NIIK's services will largely determine the success of the first EPC contract of his client in Russia and would accelerate project's construction schedule.

The capacity of the new unit is 525 000 TPY (ammonia) and 700 000 TPY (urea).
“This project will ensure the qualitative development of the gas industry in Russia towards a continuous increase in the feedstock processing rate and will allow switching from the consumption and export of raw materials to the production of high-tech, advanced processing products,” reported Shchekinoazot representatives. The project is characterized by high economic efficiency, societal and budgeting importance and acceptable payback period.

The contract with CNCEC will enter into force in the nearest future. In early April NIIK's specialists took part in the kick-off meeting held in China, thereby confirming company’s focus on long-term stable cooperation.

The first time NIIK was dealing with CC-7 company (CNCEC's building division) on the project of ammonia, methanol and urea complex construction in Mendeleevsk, Tatarstan. The successful completion of the project showed the real example of exceptional teamwork based on established uniform standards and personal and business relations, taking into account the interests of all parties involved.

The experience gained by the companies opened the way to long cooperation, the joint work of NIIK and CNCEC will be continued.
