AUS 32 process

АUS 32 – is a urea solution (32,5%) of high purity in demineralized water, used for treatment of exhaust gases from diesel vehicles. AUS 32, after being injected into the hot gas stream in the presence of a catalyst, turns nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water steam.

Advantages of the technology:

• decrease of NOx emissions to standards Euro-5 and Euro-6;
• optimization of motor operation and fuel saving up to 5%;
• possibility to get tax and environmental privileges in several countries.

There are three methods to obtain 32,5 % solution: from solid raw materials, from highly-concentrated urea melt, from urea solution. The method selection shall be determined depending on the process capabilities of the company, required production capacity and peculiarities of the raw materials base.

AUS 32 production options:

• from solid urea;
• from urea melt — this option has lower prime cost and load on the granulation sections (in case of biuret content regulation and formaldehyde absence, the parameters depend on the melt pipeline length and temperature during transportation);
• from urea solution — this option provides stable quality, minimum prime cost and load relief in evaporation and granulation sections of urea plants.
• This allows to increase marginality of the plant and diversify the product range due to new product.
