JSC NIIK provides a full cycle of design engineering, including development of technical and economic calculations, investment feasibility study, Project and Detailed Design documentation for construction, adaptation of foreign licensors' basic engineering packages to RF norms and regulations, assistance at expertises, and site supervision for construction.

Every project in the chemical industry, whether upgrade of an existing plant or construction of a new complex, requires high qualifications, deep knowledge of technological processes and practical experience.

JSC NIIK acts as general designer while development both comprehensive projects of process plants and individual sections of documentations in compliance with requirements of Russian legislation, industry standards, and international regulations.

  • General design

    Since its foundation, NIIK has been performing general design of production facilities in chemical industry, both for individual production facilities and for large industrial sites. So, JSC NIIK ensures smooth process of the expertise till construction permits are obtained.

  • Implementation of a project based on a foreign technology

    NIIK has large experience adapting foreign licensed technologies to Russian norms and operating conditions. All projects are carried out in compliance with Russian legislation, RF technical regulations, industrial safety, RF norms and rules, and the region's climatic conditions. This ensures process compatibility, reliability, and sustainability of solutions in real production conditions.

  • All engineering disciplines

    The company's extensive engineering team, which includes engineers of all disciplines necessary for project implementation allows for development the documents on all engineering disciplines. JSC NIIK formed a team of engineers of all the key disciplines – process, mechanical, specialists for equipment layout and routing of pipelines, electrical, civil as well as instrumentation and automation specialists. The company covers all stages of the design lifecycle – from pre-project studies and investment analysis to the basic engineering, FEED, Project and Detailed Design documentation, EP and EPS.

E (Engineering)

Within E scope JSC NIIK develops technical and economic investment feasibility studies, main technical solutions, the entire basic engineering package (based on own licensed technologies) and adaptation of basic engineering packages of foreign licensors to RF norms and regulations, Project and Detailed Design documentation, assistance at expertises, site supervision for construction:

  • involvement of more than 15 engineering disciplines;
  • elaboration of 3D-model of the plant including equipment layout, routing of pipelines as well as civil and architectural solutions;
  • development of technical assignments for equipment manufacture and supply.

EP (Engineering & Procurement)

Within EP scope JSC NIIK provides not only design, but also comprehensive control of procurement:

preparation and approval of technical specifications and technical assignments;

  • selection and evaluation of suppliers, monitoring of due times and manufacturing quality;
  • technical assistance at equipment manufacturing process, including proprietary items, at all stages;
  • arrangement of the supply process and logistics for all the process equipment within the project;
  • contract management and integration of equipment into a general engineering model.
  • This model allows for the monitoring of not only design solutions, but also actual execution at all stages of the facility lifecycle.

EPS (Engineering, Procurement & Service)

Engineering, Procurement & Service (EPS) format extends the traditional engineering model adding a long-term technical support and service assistance after bringing the facility into operation. Within EPS JSC NIIK ensures an engineering audit, upgrade of sections and units, optimization of operation modes, analysis of process effectiveness and training of the customer’s personnel. Such approach allows to maintain high level of production reliability, to reduce operation expenses and to extend equipment service life without losses in the efficiency.
