Complex fertilizers are becoming increasingly popular due to their efficiency, cost effectiveness and flexibility.
JSC NIIK develops innovative forms of fertilizers based on urea, ammonium nitrate, as well as ready solutions that can be integrated into the existing plants. It is not just about technologies – it is about a way to make fertilizer production flexible, sustainable and profitable.
Complex fertilizers contain several balanced plant nutrition elements and micronutrients. During their production, the chemical combination of components takes place directly during the granulation process – the result is formation of a single granule with given composition that evenly releases nutritional substances.
Advantages of complex fertilizers:
- high concentration of active substances – lower expenses on transportation, storage and application
- granules with improved physical and chemical properties are resistant to caking and layering
- composition can be adjusted to any species and soil types
JSC NIIK offers flexible process charts that allow to change content of elements without restructuring the line. This decreases CAPEX and OPEX, reduces return of the product and ensures the process stability.
The key equipment of the process is high-speed drum granulator of JSC NIIK’s own design. Granules are formed due to application of liquid melts, solutions or suspensions on the moving particles in the air flow. The result is homogeneous, firm granules with precise chemical composition.
Advantages of high-speed drum granulator:
- small size and easy integration into the existing plant;
- low energy consumption and minimum operational expenses;
- integrated system of reflux return;
- capacity regulation — from small to industrial scales.
The main advantage of JSC NIIK’s technology is the possibility to provide a wide range of fertilizers at the same plant, with quick adaptation to the market without shutdowns and difficult changeovers.
