NIIK Takes Part in the 4th International Mineral Fertilizers PRO Forum in Sochi

NIIK took part in the 4th International Mineral Fertilizers PRO Forum held in Sochi.

The forum once again brought together industry professionals to discuss fertilizer and chemical market price trends, key sales markets, and the implementation of investment projects in a changing business environment. The agenda also covered technological sovereignty and import substitution, the modernization and design of chemical production facilities, digitalization, and ways to improve operational efficiency.

Alexey Tuzov, Head of Laboratory No. 8, delivered a presentation on NIIK’s technologies and capabilities in the repair of critical equipment at urea plants. He shared several projects completed by the company’s specialists during the summer of 2026, including work carried out at production sites outside Russia. Particular attention was given to complex, non-standard challenges that required engineering solutions to be developed rapidly and directly during maintenance shutdowns.

To date, NIIK has repaired more than 200 pieces of equipment in Russia and abroad, including the replacement of liners in more than 50 urea synthesis columns. This extensive experience enables the company to develop tailored engineering solutions based on the condition of each piece of equipment and the specific operating conditions of the plant.

“Every repair begins with a detailed assessment of the equipment’s actual condition. Our objective is to identify the root cause of the problem as quickly as possible, develop a technically sound and safe repair solution, and carry out the work while minimizing equipment downtime. It is this combination of diagnostics, engineering calculations, and hands-on experience that enables us to address even the most challenging tasks at production sites in Russia and abroad,” said Alexey Tuzov.
