58th Annual Safety in Ammonia Plants and Related Facilities Symposium was held on 26-29 August in Germany


58th Annual Safety in Ammonia Plants and Related Facilities Symposium organized by American Association of Chemical Engineers AIChE was held on 26-29 August in Germany (Frankfurt am Mein). The location was chosen for a definite reason having a commemoration of the 100 anniversary of ammonia synthesis process developed by Carl Bosch and Fritz Haber. The tour to BASF enterprise where Carl Bosch began working as a chemist was organized during the event. The guests also visited Heidelberg city where the second largest European University is located and Ludwigshafen and its famous monument commemorating the installation of the first synthesis column. 

Conference program included reports and presentations over the history of ammonia production process development and also provided case studies and open panel discussions related to ammonia and urea facilities operations and maintenance errors. Major ammonia producers, technology licensors and equipment manufacturers attended the event. Being a leader in the field of urea production JSC NIIK is actively promoting its engineering services for ammonia plants including ammonia facilities inspections. Negotiations proceeded on a wide variety of issues will help our company to expand the range of services.
