GPCA (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association) was founded in 2006 by SABIC, Tasnee, Qapco, QVC, Borouge, GPIC, PIC, and Equate companies as a trading company with an aim of improving commercial relations between organizations of Gulf countries.

Several important questions concerning economical aspects of gas conversion into chemical and petrochemical products, as well as development strategies of Russian and Caspian gas sector were explored during the conference. Particular attention was being paid to practical experience capable of providing considerable impact to the gas industry.
