JSC NIIK is the only company in the Russian Federation that owns a proven patented prilling technology and know-how of the state-of-the-art towers equipped with scrubbers and systems for cooling granules in the fluidized bed. JSC NIIK towers have an innovative design not requiring constant consumption of heating steam. Integrated systems of air purification maintain a low level of ammonia and urea emissions ensuring sustainability of the production process.

The technology can be adapted for difference scales: from 1000 to 2400 MTPD in industrial operation and up to 4600 tons for scale-up. This makes the solution all-purpose that can be applied for upgrading the existing facilities and constructing new complexes.

The urea obtained by prilling method is characterized by a high strength, uniform size distribution and absence of dust fractions that simplifies storage, transportation and use in the agrochemistry. Parameter control at each stage ensures consistent physical and chemical properties and minimal wastes.
