Technological Audits in China: Assessing Opportunities for New NIIK Projects
In October, specialists from NIIK commercial and technical departments visited China. Over two weeks, they visited major industrial sites of equipment manufacturers across eight different cities.The primary goal of these audits was to examine production processes and familiarize themselves with the quality of products being manufactured at these facilities. Discussions focused on the potential supply of manufactured equipment to the Russian Federation for engineering projects related to the construction of new and the reconstruction of existing urea and ammonia plants.
Particular attention was given to high-pressure static and dynamic equipment used in the urea synthesis process. Manufacturers provided opportunities for firsthand observation of their production capabilities, assessing the culture and organization of manufacturing, testing, and engineering processes for various equipment.
Renowned licensors and engineering companies such as Casale, Stamicarbon, Tecnimont, Saipem, Toyo, and MHI trust these companies with the production of critical equipment components. This underscores their high level of competence and reliability in executing such projects.
In turn, Chinese manufacturers expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Russia and warmly welcomed the Russian delegation.
The audits allowed our company to discuss opportunities for supplying manufactured equipment to the Russian Federation for engineering projects aimed at constructing new and reconstructing existing mineral fertilizer production facilities. They also provided a comprehensive understanding of the technological capabilities of Chinese partners and confirmed their ability to deliver equipment that meets high standards of quality and reliability. NIIK plays a key role in this process by providing its own licensed technologies for the gas chemical industry, which require strict adherence to standards and high levels of production processes.
The audits represented an important step in strengthening cooperation with Chinese partners and confirmed their readiness to tackle complex and responsible tasks in designing new production facilities for the mineral fertilizer industry.
