Alexey Besedin is appointed as Technical Director of JSC NIIK
Mr. Alexey Besedin has been working at JSC NIIK since 2002. He graduated from Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University (engineer, specialization - chemical process of inorganic substances). He headed the Process Department from 2011 to 2023. During his more than 20-year career at the Company he participated in the implementation of all major NIIK projects. He moved ahead with his new duties in his new status on the 29th of September 2023.The main tasks assigned to the Technical Director today are to improve the design system, to implement NIIK technologies at Russian and global plants, to develop new technologies in related nitrogen areas, to implement modern BIM-design tools created by Russian developers, to ensure the departments workload with new projects, as well as to continue the development of our own design standards.
Russia is one of the world's biggest players in the fertilizer market, but the share of imported equipment and services averages at least 60%. According to Mr. Alexey Besedin, in order to furnish the plants with equipment, NIIK shall take into account the capabilities of Russian manufacturers as much as possible, respecting technological sovereignty and preventing refocusing from western dependence to eastern dependence.
- We have a strong united team of specialists, - Alexey Besedin noted, - and we can fulfill various projects depending on the availability of project- for urea, ammonia, methanol, melamine, nitric acid, cyanide salts.
