JSC NIIK specialists inspected the quipment at Urea Unit-1 at JSС Togliattiazot
Summer is a season of equipment repairs & upgrade at nitrogen industry plants. Repair campaign at JSC Togliattiazot includes all-round inspection and replacement of equipment at Urea Plant. These works are being carried out by the Plant's departments, contractors and NIIK specialists.Inspection carried out by JSC NIIK Laboratory No.8 specialists in early June included eddy current inspection of heat exchange equipment and corrosion inspection of the main process equipment. All the defects detected during the inspection were eliminated, namely thinning of the steel lining of one of the chords of the cylindrical part of the Urea Reactor. Repair works were carried out under the supervision of JSC NIK specialist of Laboratory No.8.
Timely elimination of the lining defect allowed the company to continue stable production of urea, providing customers with valuable mineral fertilizer in the high season of sales. Thus, JSC NIIK specialists confirmed once again their high professional skills in the field of equipment diagnostics and repair.
