As the owner of the technology, NIIK has laid the concept of maximum use of infrastructure facilities for this unit. Within the framework of the project, a deep wastewater treatment plant, an evaporation unit, cycles of concentration, and new substations were built. The most powerful on-site CO2 compressor with a capacity of 46 thousand m3/h was installed. The customer notes the uninterrupted operation of these facilities. CO2 is used for the urea production, therefore, the project will also reduce direct carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by more than 350 thousand tons per year.
The modernization of the unit made it possible to increase the capacity from 600 to 2050 tons / day, while the annual production of urea will amount to 2 million tons. A total of US $ 85 million was invested in the project.
The modernized urea unit with NIIK technology was commissioned at PJSC Acron in Veliky Novgorod
Unit 6 is based on NIIK's own advanced stripping process technology - URECON®2006. The customer needed to increase the capacity of the urea unit in order to process the entire balance amount of ammonia and transfer the synthesis unit to a lower pressure to unify the compressor equipment in the shop.As the owner of the technology, NIIK has laid the concept of maximum use of infrastructure facilities for this unit.
