Technology licensor is Stamicarbon (the Netherlands-based innovation and licensing company of Italian Maire Tecnimont Group). JSC NIIK has been taking part in this project from the very beginning. Our company completed adaptation of Licensor’s BEP and developed BEP for warehouse complex. Project documentation developed by JSC NIIK was approved by State Expertise.
In July, 2019 under the Contract with Tecnimont (Maire Tecnimont Group’s large-scale contractor), acting as Urea plant EPC contractor, JSC NIIK started developing Detailed Design. JSC NIIK engineers are now in process of developing Plot plan, civil part, heating and ventilation, underground networks.
Adaptation of all technical documentation in direct cooperation with Tecnimont is also included in the scope of work of our company. Works under the project got a good start with a kick-off meeting held in Mumbai (India), where representatives of participating companies who used to develop Project documentation met again.
As noted by Mrs. Olga Uryavina (Deputy technical director for design, JSC NIIK), Customer - LLC Volgafert (a joint venture of PJSC KuibyshevAzot and Tecnimont) - has already chosen the Construction contractor and intends to enter the site at the end of August already. Therefore, Detailed Design shall be issued in a really tight timeline.
For project works optimization a special Office responsible for civil part of documentation was organized in JSC NIIK premises. Information exchange with the Customer will be provided by transferring 3D model (starting with design diagrams), via BOCAD to Customer’s other software programs. JSC NIIK has already got related experience - similar work is being performed for other projects. We are sure that this project will grant JSC NIIK engineers with new experience and will become another step towards digitalization.
This project is extremely interesting for JSC NIIK because urea remains one of our main topics, as well as because it is another project with our regular Customer PJSC KuibyshevAzot, highly appreciating our engineering experience. Our joint efforts will lead to uprise of another modern chemical plant in Russia, which will contribute to economics of Volga region and Russia in general.
JSC NIIK is currently participating in the project for construction of a new urea plant with capacity 1,500 tpd at PJSC KuibyshevAzot site.
Our company has been working with PJSC KuibyshevAzot for decades in terms of construction and revamping of urea and other chemical products plants. 1500 tpd urea plant is a new milestone in JSC NIIK and PJSC KuibyshevAzot cooperation.Technology licensor is Stamicarbon (the Netherlands-based innovation and licensing company of Italian Maire Tecnimont Group).
