The delegation of JSC NIIK attended the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) forum in Cairo, Egypt on 12-14 February 2019
The AFA Forum is one of the major events in the fertilizer industry in the region of North Africa and the Middle East and is held annually.The forum celebrated its 25th anniversary in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. More than 500 representatives from various countries attended. The forum became the meeting point for manufacturers from fertilizer and agricultural industries, research institutes, suppliers of technologies and services related to fertilizer production. The event allowed the participants to establish business relations and acquire valuable contacts as well as to analyze the development of the fertilizer industry and make forecasts, learn about the technologies used in the industry. Experts from various fields made reports and relevant presentations, the speakers shared their experience with the forum participants.
The delegation of NIIK was represented by Deputy General Director for Research and Development Mr. Nikolay Lobanov, Head of Equipment and Corrosion Department Mr. Alexander Chirkov and International Projects Leader Mr. Anton Guzhev.
The reports presented at the forum demonstrated such topics as the development of agriculture and the production of fertilizers, food security, increasing the efficiency of fertilizer use, rational use of natural resources and soils in agriculture, logistics issues related to the industry.
Being a member of the AFA, NIIK is annually participating the forum, contributes to the sustainable development of the region’s fertilizer industry and helps its customers to make their manufacturing units more efficient. Based on more than 65 years of experience, NIIK offers modern technologies for ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate and nitric acid production.
During the forum, NIIK employees held meetings with many representatives of companies operating in the region. There were the long-time partners of NIIK among them, as well as a number of new potential customers. They discussed the prospects for joint implementation of new projects.
Fertilizer manufacturers and investors were interested in NIIK's technologies for construction of new units, revamping solutions, inspection and repair services.
Nowadays NIIK is a recognized brand among engineering and technological companies providing services to the nitrogen fertilizers manufacturers. Innovative solutions offered by NIIK allow its customers to attain the units' highest performance indicators, reduce emissions and produce new environmentally friendly fertilizer types demanded in the market.
