NIIK resumes works on the project of urea production plant construction with capacity 2200 TPD for TogliattyAzot
Urea melt production technology belongs to Casale company (Switzerland), while the prilling tower will be built by NIIK’s technology.NIIK started the project in 2015. The authority package was finalized and approved by State expertise within one year, the detailed design for prilling tower and several buildings was developed but at the end of 2016 the project was suspended by the customer.
Going back to discussions of the new urea plant TogliattyAzot held several meetings during May and June 2018. The earlier prepared documentation will be partly reconsidered, due to changes in general layout. The location of construction site will remain unchanged. The customer started to clear the land to begin excavation as soon as the permission for construction works is gained.
Besides BEP adaptation, development of authority package and detailed design for prilling tower and OSBL facilities, NIIK will procure equipment for prilling tower. According to the current agreement, the following equipment is to be delivered: critical equipment for prilling tower, non-standard vessels, pumps, fans, filters, vibropriller, conveyors and elevator. The decision on delivery of the rest of equipment (supplied optionally) will be taken later.
