Acron is installing urea solution production unit using NIIK technology
The project for construction of urea solution unit with capacity 600 TPD at one of the largest chemical plants in Russia is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018. Some part of the manufactured urea solution will be forwarded to UAN production.
Despite the worldwide trend towards urea production units capacity increasing, small capacity urea or urea solution production units for further UAN production are also in demand. For this purpose NIIK offers its own technology for urea production named URECON 2006®
Acron company continues upgrading its urea production. The production capacity will be expanded by installation of a small-capacity unit for urea solution production based on URECON 2006® technology. Technical upgrade will be done with the use of available equipment - CO2 compression unit and synthesis reactor which significantly reduces the project time and cost.
The process diagram includes only one high-pressure vessel-synthesis reactor. For this purpose a standby reactor from the existing process is used. It will be equipped by the set of internal devices of NIIK design.
High specific capacity, low capital costs, reduced project implementation time, possibility to broad the product range for both solid forms and urea -based products are considered as the main advantages of the technology used. The required infrastructure to include the new unit into the process is partially available.
The work on the project lasted for seven months in 2017 and the positive conclusion of the state expert review was obtained. The construction is going on. The commissioning is planned for August 2018.
