The Seminar was dedicated to the topic «Fertilizers Sector at Crossroads». It highlighted challenges and issues in the Indian fertilizer sector. The papers presented at the Seminar touched upon many key issues such as price outlook for fertilizers and raw material, management of production and imports etc. The technical session of the Seminar included many interesting topics such as revamps of ammonia plants for capacity enhancement and energy saving, improving urea plant efficiency, urea granulation technologies, environmental considerations in fertilizer industry etc.
At the Seminar NIIK conducted negotiations with many Indian and foreign companies. Our delegation met Haldor Topsoe (Denmark), CFIh (Singapore), Somiphos spa (Algeria). It’s important to mention that not only fertilizer producers expressed interest to NIIK, but also leading technological companies with which NIIK had had positive cooperation record for projects in Russia. Now the companies are considering NIIK as a partner for projects in India. Also NIIK discussed its participation in EPC projects as a technology supplier.

The Seminar was held on December 11-13 2013 in New Delhi, India.
