JSC NIIK took part in the opening ceremony of the beginning of the construction of new ammonia plant at JSC «FosAgro Cherepovets»
JSC “FosAgro” and an international consortium of companies including Sojitz and Renaissance Heavy Industries led by the Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. entered into a contract for the construction of new energy efficient ammonia unit capacity of 760 thousand tons/year on the ground of “FosAgro Cherepovets” in the Vologda region. JSC “FosAgro” has selected Haldor Topsøe - leading engineering company in the field of ammonia production technology and synthesis сatalysts, as licensor for the ammonia process.
State officials of the region, representatives of FosAgro company, MHI and Japan Embassy took part in the opening ceremony.
In September JSC NIIK signed the contracts with MHI and started design works. NIIK's scope of work in this project includes adaptation of documentation to Russian norms and MHI basic design regulations, basic and detailed engineering.
