R&D Institute of Urea shared its experience at a workshop held in Oman
In December 18-22, 2010 specialists of R&D Institute of Urea took part in a technical workshop organized by FAI (Fertilizer Association of India) in Muscat, Oman. For the first time the workshop was arranged beyond India and was held in collaboration with OMIFCO production plant (Oman). This event gathered representatives of more than 30 various companies both - fertilizer producers and engineering companies.
The key issues of the workshop were related to plants technical maintenance, how to increase their reliability and ensure failure-free operation. Our delegation delivered a paper dedicated to our experience in urea reactors repair on site. The case study of reactor relining aroused great interest among fertilizer producers. The discussions of the issues touched upon in the paper went on even after the session.
Within the program of the workshop delegates of R&D Institute of Urea also visited OMIFCO plant which was recently built and commissioned in joint participation of Oman and India.
Such events enable participants to exchange their professional experience and establish new contacts with colleagues and potential partners – members of FAI.
