The contract was signed in April 2010 and the contract works were executed ahead of schedule – by September 24, 2010 instead of December 16, 2010. The documentation successfully underwent expert review in the Main State Expertise Commitee (Moscow) and was submitted to the Customer.
After submission of equipment specification to the Customer specialists of R&D Institute of Urea assisted in choosing the bid quotations of equipment suppliers. It enabled the Customer to finish preliminary works by the end of 2010 and begin purchasing the equipment.
Specialists of R&D Institute of Urea will execute field supervision until the start up of the unit, monitor commissioning of DCS and equipment linking-up. The unit is scheduled for commissioning in September 2011.
At present days, the foundations of granulation building have been already laid and steel erection works are being done. Foundations grouting is continued for scrubber, storage-capacity and other structures of the unit.
The granulation unit will enable the Customer to produce commodity urea of increased static strength and it will be possible to deliver the product for long distances without its damage.
R&D Institute of Urea has completed an order on developing basic and detailed design of urea granulation unit for JSC «Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat»
