JSC NIIK won a tender of JSC Grodno Azot requiring synthesis column modernization
Cooperation between JSC NIIK and JSC Grodno Azot has a long history. The first urea production plant was put into operation in 1965 and now there are three production plants with total capacity more than 3 thousand tons a day. NIIK is continuing to assist with corrosion inspections, modernization works resulting in increased capacity and supplying equipment.Grodno Azot company is currently facing the problem of urea synthesis reactors relining for Urea 3 (3 belts) and Urea 4 plant(4 belts). A call for tenders for relining work was launched and following a review of suggested proposals JSC NIIK was recognized as the winner.
Technical and commercial proposal offered by JSC NIIK was discussed extensively by technical and commercial departments of Grodno Azot. The victory was assured by optimum price to quality ratio of our work and supported by successful experience when carrying out similar work for other companies in Russia and CIS countries. Maintenance work will be provided according to a patented technology (patent got the first prize award for «Patent of the year 2011»). Renovation works will start in July 2014.
