The complex will include ammonia production unit (capacity 875 000 TPY), urea production unit (capacity 1225 TPY), hydrogen production unit (capacity 200 mln m3/year) and 70 off-plant facilities comprising electric power and water supply installations, fire protection system, communication network, gas transmission pipeline and storage facilities. The new facilities will operate their own infrastructure and can be used separately from other plant facilities.
The newly- produced hydrogen will be used for caprolactam production at GrodnoAzot; ammonia and urea will be applied in industry, used for agricultural purposes and exported abroad.
Anticipated period for project implementation is 2015-2022.
NIIK signed an agreement and started evaluation of the potential of a new project in Grodno (Belarus)
As part of feasibility studies NIIK will select the optimal technology, main equipment, units and engineering infrastructure.
